MILCON 3 Readiness Condition

The medium level of readiness condition, recognizing heightened state-wide security. The National Guard shall typically be activated alongside this condition.

MILCON Readiness Levels

MILCON 1 The highest level of readiness condition, recognizing imminent attack that is overwhelming to local governments. This condition shall correspond with Martial Law being declared. Guardsmen are activated and deployed to all areas of the state with all department resources being authorized for use.
MILCON 2 The second-highest level of readiness condition, recognizing an imminent attack. Guardsmen are activated and deployed to civilian and military areas.
MILCON 3 The medium level of readiness condition, recognizing heightened state-wide security. The National Guard shall typically be activated alongside this condition.
MILCON 4 The second-lowest level of readiness condition, recognizing a heightened military security. Guardsmen shall actively patrol all or specific military installations.
MILCON 5 The lowest level of readiness condition, recognizing peace in the state. Guardsmen shall assume regular stations.
